According to the will, his wife Susan was to have everything during her lifetime. After her death, his children Jane Justis and Keziah Thompson were to share his estate equally. Dutton's wife Susan was named executor and it was witnessed by George W. Gass and Nancy Gass. The will was executed on 5 May 1862.6

Enoch Kiffer was born on 28 July 1794 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Frederick Kiffer and Susanna Catherine Urey.1 He was baptized on 3 May 1795 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2 He married Nancy Appleton on 11 September 1832 in Clarion County, Pennsylvania.3,4 He died on 22 July 1865 in Beaver Valley, Hickory Township, Forest County, Pennsylvania, at age 70.5,6 He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, East Hickory, Hickory Township, Forest County, Pennsylvania.6
Enoch Kiffer served in the U.S. Army during the War of 1812, being drafted for three months at Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, on 12 January 1814. He served as a Private in Captain Shaffer's Company, Pennsylvania Militia. He was discharged at Erie on 19 March 1814.7
Enoch retuned to Slippery Rock Township following his military service. He appears to be living in his parent's household in 1820. After his father and mother died in 1824 and 1829, respectively, Enoch appears as the head of household in the 1830 census of Slippery Rock Township.
