     George Washington McClelland was born on 16 March 1822 in Pennsylvania.1 He married Jane Henry Walker, daughter of John Walker and Mary Dowd, on 17 September 1844 in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.2 He died on 12 August 1873 at age 51.1 He was buried in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston Township, DeKalb County, Illinois.1
     George Washington McClelland and Jane Henry Walker moved from Pennsylvania to Illinois in 1845. They first made their home at Burlington, Kane County, Illinois. After five years they moved to Kingston, DeKalb County and made their home on the "Old Homestead" southwest of the village.3,4,5,6,7

     Margaret Walker was enumerated in the household of John Walker on the 1860 Census of Fairfield Township.7 She and Henry Heath had no children of their own but raised Margaret's niece Effie Maggie Wilson.8,9 She and Henry Heath lived in Elk Grove, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, where Henry was a farmer.8,9 She was living in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, in 1900 with her niece Effie Richardson.5 She was living in Kingston Township, DeKalb County, Illinois, in the household of Daniel and Mary McDonald in 1910. The census records the relationship between Margaret and Daniel as aunt, but it is not clear how Daniel or his wife Mary fit into the Walker or Heath family.10
