     Floyd F. Garey was born on 8 April 1897 in Caroline County, Maryland.¹ He was the son of Roland Tate K. Garey and Nellie Ramsdell.¹ He married Anna Mildred Andrew on 30 December 1921 in Caroline County, Maryland.² He died on 10 February 1978 in Denton, Caroline County, Maryland, at age 80.¹

     Anna Mildred Andrew was born on 1 January 1900.¹ She married Floyd F. Garey, son of Roland Tate K. Garey and Nellie Ramsdell, on 30 December 1921 in Caroline County, Maryland.¹

     Hannah Louise Garey was born on 14 August 1908 in Caroline County, Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of Roland Tate K. Garey and Nellie Ramsdell.¹ She married William McKinley Cropp on 21 December 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland.¹ She died on 27 March 1972 at age 63.¹

     William McKinley Cropp was born on 4 February 1903.¹ He married Hannah Louise Garey, daughter of Roland Tate K. Garey and Nellie Ramsdell, on 21 December 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland.¹ He died on 6 March 1968 at age 65.¹

     Percy Ramsdell Garey was born on 10 May 1913 in Caroline County, Maryland.¹ He was the son of Roland Tate K. Garey and Nellie Ramsdell.¹ He died in March 1991 in Maryland at age 77.¹

     Adam Stroup was born before 1765 in Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Johann Peter Straub and Catherine Elisabeth (?)^2,3 He married Eva (?)⁴ He died either in 1813 or 1814 in Ferguson Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.⁵

     During the American Revolution, Adam Stroup and his brothers Peter and John served as privates in Captain Charles Myer's Company known as the Rangers on the Frontier.⁶ He enlisted in the Second Pennsylvania Battalion commanded by Col. Steart in 1780.⁷
     Adam Stroup and Eva Stroup lived in Penn Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, between 1783 and 1787 In 1787 Adam was taxed for 50 acres, 1 horse and 1 cow.^8,9 He was living in Patton Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, by 1789. In that year Adam was assessed for one dwelling house valued at $10. and 200 acres valued at $960.¹⁰ He applied for a land warrant of 400 acres in Northumberland County on 31 January 1794. This warrant may have been for the property that he owned in Patton Township.¹¹ In 1801, this area became part of Ferguson Township, Centre County. He was taxed for 200 acres in Ferguson Township in 1801. Between 1803 and 1807 he was taxed for 150 acres. In 1809 and 1810 he was again taxed for 200 acres. Between 1811 and 1813, Adam was taxed for 300 acres, 1 horse and 1 cow. In 1814, Adam's name and acreage had a line drawn through it and a notation that the land had been transferred to David Mitchell indicating that the family had sold the land after Adam's death between 1813 and 1814.¹²

     Eva (?) was born circa 1761.¹ She married Adam Stroup, son of Johann Peter Straub and Catherine Elisabeth (?).² She died between November 1843 and June 1844 in Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.²

     Eva Stroup and Adam Stroup lived in Penn Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, between 1783 and 1787 In 1787 Adam was taxed for 50 acres, 1 horse and 1 cow.^3,4 She was living in Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, in 1820 with her son John.⁵ She was living in Rockland Township in 1830 with her son Samuel.⁶ She was bequeathed $10 a year in the will left by John Stroup dated 1838.⁷ She was living in Rockland Township in 1840 her son Daniel.¹ She received a state pension based on Adam's Revolutionary War service between June 1836 and November 1843.²

     John Kerner was born circa 1750 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.^1,3 He was the son of Johann Adam Körner and Anna Regina Bingeman.² He married Magdalena (?)⁴ He died on 22 June 1819 in Ferguson Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.^1,5

     John Kerner served served with the colonial forces during the Revolutionary War. He enlisted at Reading, Berks County in 1775 as a rifleman in Colonel Thompson's Regiment in the company commanded by Captain George Nagle. He was discharged in July of 1776 on Long Island and returned to Reading. He re-enlisted in the company commanded by Captain Mouser and afterwards Captain Finney's company in the Sixth Regiment of the Pennsylvania line commanded by Colonel Harmen. According to his pension papers, he was wounded in the hand and lost two fingers at the battle of Litchfield's Point. He also saw action at the battle of Scotch Plains, the taking of the Hessians at Trenton (Dec 1776), Princeton (Jan 1777), and the battle of Brandywine (Sep 1777). John may have been in the Colonial forces until 1781.⁶
     John Kerner was living in Penn Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, in 1786.⁷ He sold land in Penn Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, in 1788.⁸ He was living in White Deer Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, in 1813 where he paid taxes on seven acres and a small house.⁹ White Deer Township, Northumberland County became part of the newly formed Union County in 1815. Although he was no longer assessed for property in White Deer Township, Union County after 1815, John Kerner was still living in Union County when he applied for a military pension in 1818.⁶ He moved to Ferguson Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, by 1819 when his name appears on the Ferguson Township assessment list.¹⁰
     John Kerner applied for a military pension in 1818. According to his pension application he was living "in reduced circumstances, and stands in need of the assistance of his country for his support." The pension awarded him was at the rate of eight dollars per month.⁶ He died intestate (without a will) in Centre County. On 17 April 1820, Magdalena renounced her right as adminstratrix of John estate and her sons John and George were appointed co-administrators. The articles in John's estate were sold at a public sale on 28 April 1820.¹¹

     Magdalena (?) was born between 1755 and 1765.² She married John Kerner, son of Johann Adam Körner and Anna Regina Bingeman.¹

     Magdalena (?) was known as Molly Kerner.³ She was living in Ferguson Township, Centre County, in 1820 with her younger sons Jacob and Leonard.⁴

     Andrew Jackson Carner was born circa 1831 in Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of John Carner and Susan Stroup.¹ He died on 25 April 1864 at Andersonville Prison, Georgia, of Diarrhaea while a prisoner of war.¹ He was buried in grave number 734 at Andersonville Prison.¹

     Andrew Jackson Carner served in the U.S. Army during the Civil War. He enlisted at Emlenton, Venango County on 9 October 1861 for three years and was mustered into Company L., Fourth Pennsylvania Cavalry. He was commanded by Captain Duncan. Andrew was reported absent in the September and October 1863 Muster Rolls. In November and December, he was reported as missing in action since 12 October 1863 at Sulphur Springs, Virginia. On the July 1865 Muster Roll he was "discharged by reason of expiration of term of Service October 31, 1864." A memorandum states that he was admitted to the hospital at Andersonville Prison on 3 April 1864.¹ He was described in the Company Descriptive Book as age 27, 5 feet, 9 inches tall; light complextion; black hair; and gray eyes.¹ He purchased 62 acres of land in Rockland Township in 1861 from George S. Domer for $456.² Andrew Jackson Carner's land was sold by his father, brothers, and sisters in 1865.³

     John Carner Jr. was born on 26 March 1817 in Ferguson Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of John Carner and Susan Stroup.¹ He married Sarah Ann Turk, daughter of Ephraim Turk and Maria Moore, on 3 May 1849.¹ He died on 13 February 1904 in Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, at age 86.² He was buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.^1,3

     John Carner Jr. was a farmer in Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania. He lived and worked on his father's farm until it was sold in 1871.^4,5,1
     John Carner Jr. purchased a 91 acre farm in Rockland Township after his father's farm was sold. He and Sarah lived there the rest of their lives.^6,7,8,9 John's heirs sold his farm in Rockland Township to John's son Jefferson in 1921. The land remained in Jefferson's family until about 1943 when the last shares were sold.^10,6

     Sarah Ann Turk was born on 24 December 1824 in Butler County, Pennsylvania.^1,2 She was the daughter of Ephraim Turk and Maria Moore.² She married John Carner Jr., son of John Carner and Susan Stroup, on 3 May 1849.³ She died on 23 August 1894 in Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, at age 69.^1,4 She was buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.¹

     Ephraim Turk was born on 19 March 1791 in Pennsylvania.¹ He married Maria Moore in 1819 in Butler County, Pennsylvania.¹ He died on 18 May 1870 in Bell center, Wisconsin, at age 79.¹
