Dora met Ray, a vaudeville performer while he was in Franklin to playing with "The Four Dancing Lubins" at the Opera House. For a number ofyears she traveled with the vaudeville troupe which her husband headed and she helped with work backstage. After he left show business, they spent a year in New Mexico where they had a ranch. Then in Wheeling, West Virginia, they operated a theatrical hotel.
1 Dora operated the Salsburg greenhouse, also known as "Doll House Gardens" for twenty-five years in Sugarcreek Township, Venango County.
