Olin Adly Baum was born on 9 April 1905 in Oakland Township, Venango County.² He was the son of Henry Isaac Baum and Mary Elizabeth Stainbrook.^1,2 He married Lucille Elizabeth Deets, daughter of William Deets and Addie Ghering, on 1 November 1927.^3,1 He died on 5 December 1995 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at age 90.² He was buried in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Township, Venango County.¹

Olin Adly Baum was raised in a family of 10 children.

He was was formerly employed by Brunred Oil Co. from 1927 to 1952. He was later employed by Quaker State Corp from 1952 to 1970 as a pumper and a laborer. He and Lucille were known for selling produce at the curb market on State Street in Oil City.² He and Lucille Elizabeth Deets lived in Pleasantville, Venango County.¹ He and Lucille Elizabeth Deets were members of the Oakland United Methodist Church.¹
