     Susan Baney and Henry Ross were living in Oakland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, in 1860. After Susan's brothers enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War, Henry and Susan moved onto Susan's father's farm in Cherrytree Township where Henry "farmed the place for him on shares." They remained on that farm until Susan's father sold it in 1871. The Ross were living in Oakland Township by 1880.6,7,8,9

     Isaac Baney was born on 30 January 1841 in Cherrytree Township, Venango County.1 He was the son of John Baney and Susannah Benninghoff.1 He died on 26 October 1864 in Andersonville Prison, Georgia, at age 23.1
     Isaac Baney served in the Union Army during the Civil War. He enlisted in Company I, 4th Regiment, Pennsylvania Cavalry in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania, on 14 October 1861. On 12 October 1863, during action at Sulpher Springs, near Warrenton, Virginia, Isaac was taken prisoner. He was taken to the Andersonville Prison in Georgia. He was admitted to the hospital at Andersonville on 21 October 1864 and died there five days later.1
