The property was on the headwaters of Kain's Run and abutted the west line of Mark Ward, Jacob Tarr, land formerly Deits's, and Daniel Tarr and was part of the larger tract conveyed to Jacob by George W. Tarr.10

     Isaac Tarr was born circa 22 December 1836 in Cherrytree Township, Venango County.1,2 He was the son of Jacob Tarr and Barbara Noel.1,2 He married Catherine Baney, daughter of John Baney and Susannah Benninghoff.3 He died on 6 March 1896 in Cherrytree Township, Venango County.1,2 He was buried in Cherrytree Presbyterian Cemetery, Cherrytree Township, Venango County.4
     Isaac Tarr and Catherine Baney lived in Oakland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, where Isaac was a farmer.5,6 Isaac Tarr and his father Jacob Tarr, with their wives Barbara and Catherine sold 50 acres and 112 perches of the Oakland Township farm on 2 January 1865 to George Davis of New York City for $2700. The property was bounded by lands of R. Hays, E. Hays, J. Tarr, and the Franklin-Cherrytree Road.7 He bought 27 acres, abutting the Franklin Road, lands of Ward and Company, Lewis Renninger and Jef Tarr, Brewer and Loomis, and of Jacob Tarr in Oakland Township from his parents for $1200 on 2 September 1865.8

     Daniel Lewis Renninger also went by the name of Lewis.4 He served as a Private in Company A, 178th D.M. Infantry during the Civil War. He enlisted on 30 October 1862 and was discharged on 5 August 1863.4 He and Susannah Matilda Tarr lived in Oakland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, until they moved to a farm about two miles outside of Galloway in Sugarcreek Township, Venango County circa 1870.4

He is not listed in the tax rolls for 1860 suggesting Martin had died within the previous year; however, his wife Fanny Bisker was listed in 1861 and taxed on the 5 acres of land.
