William Potter1

     William Potter was born in 1835.1 He married Mary O'Donnell, daughter of James O'Donnell and Margaret Smith.2,1 He died in 1916.1 He was buried in Rockland Cemetery, Rockland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.1
     William Potter served in Company A, 121st Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers during the Civil War.1 He and Mary O'Donnell had no children of their own, but raised two nephews Otis and Frank.3
