     Columbus Scott Tarr was born on 13 October 1852 in Cherrytree Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of George Washington Tarr and Adelia Ann Rose.1 He married Alice Stevenson, daughter of Thomas Stevenson and Sophia Phillips.1 He died on 19 February 1933 in Rocky Grove, Sugarcreek Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, at age 80.1 He was buried in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania.1
