     Rexford Milton Persing was born on 1 October 1923 in Ravenna, Portage County, Ohio.⁴ He was the son of Peter Peora Persing and Flossie May Fink.^1,3 He married Mary Elizabeth Pritchard, daughter of Orrin Nelson Pritchard and Dorothy Elizabeth Snyder, on 30 August 1947 in the Lamey Church, Oakland Township, Venango County.⁵ He died on 1 April 2006 at age 82.⁶ He was buried in Lamey Cemetery, Oakland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.⁶

     Rexford Milton Persing served in the U.S. Army during World War II.⁴ 30 August 1997 Rexford Milton Persing and Mary Elizabeth Pritchard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They had eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.⁵ He retired from Pennzoil.⁵ He was living in Cooperstown, Jackson Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, in 2003.⁴ According to the obituary, Rexford Milton Persing was survived by eight grandchildren, D.J. Persing and his wife, Melissa, of Franklin, Jeffrey Alan Persing of Oil City, Lisa Renee Brady and her husband, Michael, of Franklin, Leigh-Anne Williams and her husband, Matthew, of Franklin, Rebecca Elizabeth Moss and her husband, Heath, of Erie, Kiley Rae Fratus and her husband, Neil, of Dempseytown, Shawna Marie Leighty and her husband, Brad, of Washington, and Lindsey Marie Heffernan of Franklin. Also surviving were 13 great-grandchildren, Zachary David, Ty Joseph, Clare Marie, Devin Michael, Keaira Ann, Gracie Michelle, Brayden Paul, Caitlyn Nicole, Elizabeth Jane, Madolyn Elizabeth, Nathaniel Thomas, Hudson Rexford and Holland Reid.⁶

     Gifford Merton Persing was born on 1 October 1923 in Ravenna, Portage County, Ohio.^3,4 He was the son of Peter Peora Persing and Flossie May Fink.^1,3 He married Betty June Baker on 3 October 1946 in Oakland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.³ He died on 5 November 2006 in Winter Park, Florida, at age 83.³ He was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Oakland Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.³
