Rehner and Betty Jean Kreutsberg were affiliated with the Oriental Missionary Society, an inter-denominational faith mission, completing terms of missionary service in Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Columbia. Wallace and Betty Jean graduated from Vennard Collage in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Wallace later graduated from Western Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and was ordained in the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the Evangelical United Bretheran Church. He had a pastorate for two years in Iowa before he and Betty Jean went to the mission field.¹ He and Betty Jean Kreutsberg died in an airplane crash, returning home from participating in a retreat at the Seneca Hills Bible Conference outside Franklin, Pennsylvania.¹

     Betty Jean Kreutsberg was born on 24 February 1932 in Edgeley, North Dakota.¹ She married Wallace D. Rehner, son of Daniel F. Rehner and Helen M. Bell.¹ She died on 19 April 1970 in Fowler, Michigan, at age 38.¹

     According to the obituary, Edna E. LeGoullon was survived by six grandchildren Robert W. Bell, Jr. of Youngstown, Ohio, James F. Bell, Jr., Mrs. Terrance (Virginia) Hernan, Meribeth, Vicki L., and David B. Bell, all of Franklin; and two great-grandchildren Robert P. and Heather Anne Hernan of Franklin.¹
