     Catherine Betty Bickle was born on 11 December 1927 in Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of Carl Jacob Bickle and Roseline Yashinski.¹ She married William Buchanan, son of Wellington Augustus Buchanan and Elizabeth Mae Winters, on 24 December 1945 in Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania.¹ She died on 1 January 1992 in Bremerton, Washington, at age 64.¹
