     Aaron Davenport was born on 30 November 1779 in New Jersey.2,3 He was the son of Cornelius Davenport and Elizabeth (?)1 He married Eleanor King, daughter of Francis King and Mary Jones, on 27 July 1800 in New York.1 He died on 23 January 1842 in Franklin Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, at age 62.1,4 He was buried in Reynolds Corner Cemetery, Manchester Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan.1
     Aaron Davenport appeared on the census of 1810 in Ulysses, Seneca County, New York.5 He and Eleanor King owned several tracts of land in Lots 61, 92, and 93 in Ulysses, New York, which they sold off between 1817 and 1824. Ulysses, which was part of Seneca County in 1810, became part of Tompkins County in 1817. Some of the property sold by Aaron and Eleanor in Lots 92 and 93 is in current day Ithaca, New York.6 He and Eleanor King moved from the town of Ulysses to Catherine, Tioga County, New York, in 1818. Aaron and his family were the second settlers in that area which in 1823 became the town of Catlin. Today the town of Catlin is in Chemung County, New York.7,3 He appeared on the census of 1820 in Catherine, Tioga County, New York.8 He appeared on the census of 1830 in Catlin, Tioga County, New York.9 He and Eleanor King moved from New York to Franklin Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, by 1840.10

     Eleanor King was born on 27 January 1782 in New Jersey.1,2 She was the daughter of Francis King and Mary Jones.1 She married Aaron Davenport, son of Cornelius Davenport and Elizabeth (?), on 27 July 1800 in New York.1 She died on 17 July 1850 in Franklin Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, at age 68.2,1,3 She was buried in Reynolds Corner Cemetery, Manchester Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan.3
     Eleanor King and Aaron Davenport owned several tracts of land in Lots 61, 92, and 93 in Ulysses, New York, which they sold off between 1817 and 1824. Ulysses, which was part of Seneca County in 1810, became part of Tompkins County in 1817. Some of the property sold by Aaron and Eleanor in Lots 92 and 93 is in current day Ithaca, New York.4 She and Aaron Davenport moved from the town of Ulysses to Catherine, Tioga County, New York, in 1818. Aaron and his family were the second settlers in that area which in 1823 became the town of Catlin. Today the town of Catlin is in Chemung County, New York.5,6 She and Aaron Davenport moved from New York to Franklin Township, Lenawee County, Michigan, by 1840.7
