     William Dungan was a Gentleman and Perfumer in London, England.² He left a will dated 13 September 1636. The will reads as follows, " In the name of God amen, I, William Dunghen, of the parish of St. Martins 'the Fields, in the County of Middlesex, Perfumer, being sick of body, but of good and perfect memory and understanding (thanks be given to Almighty God) therefore doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament, in manner and forme following, That is to saye, First and principally, I commit my sole unto the hands Almighty God, my Maker, Saviour and Redeemer, through whose mercies and merits , I hope to be saved and to enjoy everlasting life in his heavenly kingdome. My body I commit to earth from whence it came to be buried at the discretion of my loving wife and executrix, here under named. And for my wordly goods wherewith God hath endowed me (my just debts being first paid and funeral expenses discharged I give and bequeath to each of my children, viz: Barbara Dunghen, William Dunghe Frances Dunghen and Thomas Dunghen, three score and ten pounds apiece, to paid unto them when they shall attaine to their full ages, or daye of marriage. if it happen, any of my said children shall dye before they come of age or happen marry, then my will and meaning is, that the part or porcion of him or her, or the soe dyeing, shall revert and come to the survivor or survivors of my said children to be equally divided part and portion alike between them. Any my further and meaneing is, that my said wife shall dureing her widdowhood, have the governing of my said children's porcions, then my true intent and meaning is, that my said wife shall give good security to my overseers hereunder named, for the true and sure payment of the said legacies bequeathed to my said children as aforesaid according to my true intent and meaneing herein expressed. Item: All other my estate, whatsoever be it, in goods, chattels, leases, ready money, plate, or other my substance what ever, I bequeath to my loveing wife Frances Dunghen, whome I make full and executrix.

     Frances Latham was baptized on 15 February 1608/9 in Bedfordshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Lewis Latham and Elizabeth (?)¹ She married William Dungan on 27 August 1629 in St. Martin-in-the-Fields Parish, London, England.² She married Jeremy Clarke circa 1637 in England.³ She married William Vaughan circa 1655.⁴ She died in September 1677 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island, at age 68.⁵ She was buried in Common Burial Ground, Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.⁵

     Frances Latham and Jeremy Clarke along with Frances' children and probably Frances' widowed sister Ellen immigrated circa 1638 to New England. Jeremy was one of the founding members of Newport (now in Rhode Island) and became "President Regent" or Governor of the colony. At the first meeting of the settlers on 16 March 1638/39, "It is agreed and ordered, that the Plantation now begun at the southwest end of the Island, shall be called Newport."³

     Barbara Dungan was baptized on 28 September 1630 in St. Martin-in-the-Fields Parish, London, England.¹ She was the daughter of William Dungan and Frances Latham.¹ She married James Barker in 1644.² She died in Rhode Island.²

     Frances Dungan was baptized on 12 November 1632 in St. Martin-in-the-Fields Parish, London, England.¹ She was the daughter of William Dungan and Frances Latham.¹ She married Randall Holden in 1648.² She died in 1697 in Warwick, Rhode Island.²

     Elizabeth Dungan was baptized on 13 December 1633 in St. Martin-in-the-Fields Parish, London, England.¹ She was the daughter of William Dungan and Frances Latham.¹

     Lewis Latham married Elizabeth (?)² He married Winifred Downes.³ He died in May 1655 in England.² He was buried on 15 May 1655 in Bedfordshire, England.²

     In 1612, Lewis was a member of the household and Falconer to Prince Henry, who deceased this year. In 1625, he held the same position with King Charles I. Aug. 18, 1627, he was advanced to the position of Sergeant of the Hawks, and his place of Under Falconer given to Richard Berrick.² Lewis Latham left a will on 6 May 1653 in Elstow, Bedfordshire, England.      Katherine Latham was baptized in 1615 in Elstow, Bedfordshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Lewis Latham and Elizabeth (?)¹ She married William Garnett.²
