Robert, and a friend, Glenn Clulow, opened a watch repair shop at a location in Franklin which was so narrow a person could practically touch both walls at the same time. In 1949, they moved the business to 1211 Liberty St., and shortly thereafter Mr. Hoovler bought out his partner. In 1964, Hoovler Jewelers became Feldman's with a move up the street. In 1974, they relocated to its present location where they operated the business until Robert's retirement in 1985.
