     Millard Grant Smith was born on 13 August 1891 in Rockland Township.¹ He was the son of Miles Briggs Smith and Abbie Amanda Melat.¹ He married Maude Anna Barcroft on 22 December 1920.¹
     Millard died in an oil tank explosion on 22 December 1945 at age 54.¹ He and Maude Anna Barcroft were buried in Rynd Farm Cemetery, Cornplanter Township, Venango County.¹

     Millard Grant Smith was a conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad in early life.¹ He served in the United States Army during World War I.¹ He was a oil drilling contractor and in the 1940s began working for Penzoil.

     Maude Anna Barcroft was born on 2 November 1891.¹ She married Millard Grant Smith, son of Miles Briggs Smith and Abbie Amanda Melat, on 22 December 1920.¹ She died on 23 February 1976 at age 84.¹ She and Millard Grant Smith were buried in Rynd Farm Cemetery, Cornplanter Township, Venango County.¹

     Janean Barcroft Smith was born on 9 April 1922 in Oil City, Venango County.¹ She was the daughter of Millard Grant Smith and Maude Anna Barcroft.¹ She married Allen Vance Hoffman on 1 May 1954.¹ She died on 15 March 2009 in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania, at age 86.² She was buried in Rynd Farm Cemetery, Cornplanter Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.²

     Janean Barcroft Smith and Allen Vance Hoffman had no children.¹

     Allen Vance Hoffman was born on 17 September 1917 in Rocky Grove, Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County, Pennsylvania.^1,2 He married Janean Barcroft Smith, daughter of Millard Grant Smith and Maude Anna Barcroft, on 1 May 1954.¹ He died on 23 April 1999 in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania, at age 81.² He was buried in Rynd Farm Cemetery, Cornplanter Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.²

     Allen Vance Hoffman retired in 1979 after 40 years at Pennzoil where he ws vice president of Pennzoil's eastern refining division.¹ He and Janean Barcroft Smith had no children.¹

     William Henry Harrison Smith was born on 1 January 1887 in Rockland Township.¹ He was the son of Miles Briggs Smith and Abbie Amanda Melat.¹ He married Mary Estelle Lawson on 5 May 1913.¹ He died on 6 April 1955 at age 68.¹

     William Henry Harrison Smith also went by the name of Sam Smith.² He and Mary Estelle Lawson lived in Lawsonham, Pennsylvania.¹

     Mary Estelle Lawson was born on 1 March 1888.¹ She married William Henry Harrison Smith, son of Miles Briggs Smith and Abbie Amanda Melat, on 5 May 1913.¹ She died on 14 May 1962 at age 74.¹

     Mary Estelle Lawson and Sam Smith lived in Lawsonham, Pennsylvania.¹

     Pauline Lawson Smith was born on 18 February 1914 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Henry Harrison Smith and Mary Estelle Lawson.¹ She was unmarried.¹ She died on 7 June 2010 in Clarion, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, at age 96.² She was buried in Lawsonham Cemetery, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.²

     Pauline Lawson Smith was a secondary school teacher, retiring in 1975.¹

     Katharine Louise Smith was born on 22 June 1916 in Widnoon, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of William Henry Harrison Smith and Mary Estelle Lawson.¹ She married Philip McClelland Ramsey on 10 June 1938.² She died on 8 April 1999 in Lawsonham, Pennsylvania, at age 82.¹ She was buried in Lawsonham Cemetery, Rimersburg, Pennsylvania.¹

     Katharine Louise Smith was an elementary school teacher. In earlier years she taught in the Rimersburg area rural schools including Wild Cat, Sandy Hollow, Conneration, Sarah Furnace, and New Athens. She retired in 1977 from the Armstrong County School District.¹
