     Thomas E. Gahring was born on 29 May 1938 in Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania.³ He was the son of Merle L. Gahring and Beatrice Repman.^1,2 He married Priscilla L. Carbaugh on 9 January 1960 in Jackson Center, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.³ He died on 23 September 2015 in UPMC Northwest, Cranberry Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, at age 77.³ He was buried in Rockland Cemetery, Rockland Township, Venango County.³

     According to the obituary, Thomas E. Gahring was survived by six grandchildren: Kayla, Kelsey, and Kylie Gahring, Heather Vogan and her husband D.J., Kevin Hanna, and Adam Gahring; six great-grandchildren: Gabrielle and Jude Vogan, Jaden Roman, Kaden Hanna, Easton Vogan, and Everly John.³
