     Robert B. Rogers served in the 121st Pennsylvania Volunteers during the Civil War. Rifenberg lived in Jackson Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, where Robert was a farmer.4,9
     Robert was widely known as a teacher of vocal music and was leader of singing in the United Brethern Church in Canal Township.4

     According to her obituary, the "fates were unkind" to Nancy. Her first husband John Nelson was thrown from a horse and died while training for service in the Civil War leaving her with four young children. Her second husband Michael Keas was killed in a runaway accident. Six years before her death she was stricken blind and was bed ridden the last two months of her life. However, her obituary states that she enjoyed a wide circle of friends and was a loving mother, a good neighbor and a fine Christian woman.6

     According to his death certificate, David was the son of David Roggers [sic] and Nancy Calhoun. The information was provided by David's son Edd.9
