ROBBINS, Dorothy "Irene," 87, formerly of Benwood, W.Va., died Thursday, October 20, 2005 in Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville, W.Va. She was born July 19, 1918 in Mannington, W.Va., the daughter of the late Lonnie and Fannie Melatt Henderson.
Irene was an Avon Representative for 20 years; and a member of the First Christian Church, McMechen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter (Bunny) Robbins; and a grandson, Robert Satterfield, Jr. Surviving are a son, Robert Satterfield, Sr. and his wife, Ruby C., of Washington Lands, Moundsville; and a daughter, Joyce Kinkes and her husband, Brady, of Glen Dale, W.Va; seven grandchildren, Vickie Hossman of McMechen, Linda (Steve) Macri of Wheeling, Rick (Teresa) Kinkes of Glen Dale, Jeanne (A.B.) Corfield of Toledo, Ohio, Lorna Hall, Chuck and David Satterfield, all of Wheeling; thirteen great- grandchildren; twelve great great-grandchildren; two half sisters, Opal and Maxine of Calif; and her best friend, Alice Balgo of Glen Dale. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, W.Va, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2005 with Rev. William Barger officiating. Interment in McMechen Cemetery, McMechen. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.altmeyer.com.¹
