     William Record bought 114 acres in Wayne Township, Crawford County, from his father Benjamin Record for $500 on 4 November 1834. Benjamin sold William an additional 91 acres in Wayne Township for $500 on 13 January 1835. According to William's 1876 will, this land was north of the Brawley Road and east of the Finchtown Road.7,6 He was a farmer in Wayne Township.1,8,3 He left a will dated 13 May 1876 in which he bequeathed his entire estate to his beloved wife Esther Ray. At her death, his estate was to be sold and divided between his son David, daughter Catherine Bell, and grandchildren Mary Alice Barney and Maud and Benjamin M. Rekord.6

Record was born in 1812 in Moon Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.2,1 He was the son of Benjamin Record and Agnes McCandless.1 He married Mary Hetty Wyman on 22 February 1838.3 He died on 17 June 1872 in Wayne Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.4,5 He was buried in Cochranton Cemetery, Cochranton, Crawford County.2
     James E. Record bought 100 acres in Wayne Township, Crawford County, from his father Benjamin Record for $500 on 13 January 1835.6 He was a farmer in Wayne Township. His wife Mary and several of his sons continued to live and work the farm after his death.7,8,9,10 He left a will dated 22 September 1871 in which he bequeathed his entire estate to his wife Mary Hetty Record.5
