Catherine Geyer1

b. circa 1770, d. 2 December 1848
ChartsAncestry of David Kipp Melat
Catherine Geyer was born circa 1770.1 She married Henry Dunmire, son of Jacob Dormeyer and Hannaricha Christiana Margareta (?).2 She died on 2 December 1848 in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.1 She was buried in Dunmire Cemetery, Oliver Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.1
According to GBD, Catherine was the daughter of George and Margaret Geyer of Rothsville, Lancaster County; however, George and Margaret's daughter Catherine was born 23 July 1762 and married a Mr. Berkenbeim. Rather, Catherine Geyer Dunmire may be the same as Catherine, daughter of John and Anna Maria Geyer, born on 17 June 1769 and baptised on 23 July 1769 at the Heidelberg Church in Schafferstown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.2,3,4,5 Catherine Dunmire and Henry Dunmire were living in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, when their son Daniel was baptized in 1796. Bethel Township was then part of Dauphin County.6 She and Henry Dunmire lived in Oliver Township the rest of their lives.7,8,9,10
