Adam kept a high grade of cattle and sheep on the farm.6 He was a farmer and a Director of and one of the principal stockholders of the Linesville Savings Bank in Conneaut Township.6,7 Adam was a Republican in politics and a strong advocate of temperance.6 He and Catherine Steffee were members of the Baptist Church.6
