     At the outbreak of the Spanish Influenza Epidemic in 1918, Ethel returned to Pennsylvania to work as a nurse. She brought her chidlren Frank and Adeline with her. They stayed in the hospital nursery until overcrowding at the hospital forced Ethel to move the children to an orphanage. When she returned to the orphanage, she discovered that Adeline had been adopted. Ethel and her son Frank returned to Chicago. Adeline, renamed Eunice Isabel by her adopted parents, went to Chicago to meet Ethel when she was 18 years old.6 Ethel Mae Melat and Frank Judgil lived in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, in 1930 where Frank worked as a switchman for the railroad.7

     Adeline (Ruth) Judgil was born on 5 November 1916 in Cook County, Illinois.2,3,4 She was the daughter of Frank Judgil and Ethel Mae Melat.1 She married Lewis Wilfred Roberts.5 She died on 7 October 1998 at age 81.6
     At the outbreak of the Spanish Influenza Epidemic in 1918, Ethel returned to Pennsylvania to work as a nurse. She brought her chidlren Frank and Adeline with her. They stayed in the hospital nursery until overcrowding at the hospital forced Ethel to move the children to an orphanage. When she returned to the orphanage, she discovered that Adeline had been adopted. Ethel and her son Frank returned to Chicago. Adeline, renamed Eunice Isabel by her adopted parents, went to Chicago to meet Ethel when she was 18 years old.5 Adeline (Ruth) Judgil was adopted by Cleveland Y. Donnell and Eunice Viola Spence.5 Her name was legally changed to Eunice Isabelle Roberts.5
